Parameters

  • name: the name of the car used in its original or primary market
  • image: A 'three quarter' view of the front and side of the car (eg: 1963 MkI Mini.jpg), preferably taken against a background containing no other vehicles and with the sun shining from behind the camera.
  • Automotive industry: The company or division that manufactures the vehicle
  • parent company: industrial group or Holding company which owns the marque/brand/division at the time the car was produced (if any)
  • List of acronyms and initialisms: A: other names of the Automobile in different markets
  • Model year: the model years in which the vehicle was marketed. No months or half-years. Empty this field and place actual production date in the Production start and production end fields as this information becomes available.
  • production: Calendar year (not Model year) range when the car was produced. This is an alternative to production_start and production_end; do not use both forms.
  • production start and production end: This is an alternative to production; do not use both forms. The calendar dates (year and month, with day if available) on which production of the vehicle started and ended.
  • assembly: cities and countries where the model is built
  • predecessor: previous models from the manufacturer in the segment or similar
  • successor: following models in the segment or similar
  • Car classification: segment to which the car belongs
  • Car body style: number of doors and car shape
  • Automobile layout: layout of the Powertrain
  • Automobile platform: the platform name, which may be shared with similar cars from the same or related marques
  • Internal combustion engine: nominal capacity in Litres (L), abbreviated Engine configuration, notable Valvetrain, notable fuel delivery, forced induction type
  • Transmission (mechanics): number of forward gear ratios, and the type of transmission (eg. "6-speed Manual transmission, 5-speed Automatic transmission")
  • wheelbase: nominal Wheelbase
  • length: nominal length (excluding any non-standard towing equipment)
  • width: nominal width (excluding door mirrors)
  • height: nominal height
  • weight: kerb/curb weight of a standard car without options (if a range of bodystyles is offered, include a lowest and highest figure)
  • fuel capacity: nominal capacity of the Fuel tank
  • electric range: All-electric range of Plug-in hybrid vehicles
  • related: cars which share components
  • designer: the name of the individual designer, or the "design house"
  • sp: the spelling convention. For British English spelling, set to "uk". American English US spelling ("us") is set by default. Note: currently it only affects the "Curb weight"/"Kerb weight" spelling.
